The desert has  a lot of low, shrub-like plant life growing in small patches throughout: creosote bushes and sage are pretty much everywhere. On a nice wet spring day, they get to be a lovely green. I decided to work with olive drab for the shrubs and started by patching them on with white glue followed by a dousing of glue/water/alcohol blend to set them in place. I later discovered that just placing them en-masse then dousing them in the glue mixture was just as effective and MUCH quicker.
